Job summary

Oceans Healthcare is seeking an on-site Human Resources Director in Lufkin, TX. This role oversees core HR functions, records, payroll, benefits administration, and performance evaluations. You will lead compliance efforts and support policy development for a hospital setting.

Required: 5+ years HR experience, healthcare background, and proficiency with Word/Excel. CPR certification and de-escalation training are mandatory.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Human Resources experience required.
• 2+ years of payroll experience preferred.
• 2+ years of employee relations experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience is critical to success.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to manage high-volume workload and deadlines.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitivity.
• Must complete CPR and Oceans approved de-escalation program.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day HR operations including administrative HR, recruitment, and benefits activities.
• Coordinate payroll, benefits administration, and performance evaluations.
• Support hospital HR policy development in coordination with management and company guidelines.
• Maintain HR policies and procedures in line with Joint Commission and regulatory requirements.
• Interpret policies and regulations for employees and provide guidance to managers.
