Job summary

Prime Healthcare is hiring a Human Resources Assistant at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. This in-person role supports HR operations, from posting jobs and processing paperwork to onboarding and benefits administration.

You will help maintain employee records, coordinate orientations, and assist with regulatory compliance while acting as a liaison between staff and management. Strong communication and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred; college degree desired.
• Must have strong communication skills.
• General office and/or Personnel related experience is required.
• 1-2 Years of Healthcare experience preferred.
• Microsoft Office skills required.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with job postings, scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, maintaining applicant tracking systems and preparing new hire paperwork.
• Maintain and update employee files, HR databases and confidential information while processing employment documentation such as contracts, benefits and payroll forms.
• Coordinate new employee orientation sessions, assist in onboarding and provide new hires with information about hospital policies, benefits and compliance.
• Prepare HR reports, correspondence and documentation; assist with scheduling training sessions and tracking employee certifications.
• Support HR team in ensuring adherence to hospital policies, labor laws and regulatory requirements; help coordinate employee engagement and wellness programs.
• Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and HR questions; facilitate communication between HR, hospital staff and management.
