Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth across strategic geographies and service lines while delivering high-quality, affordable care. You will apply your sales and strategic planning skills to expand Mercy's footprint in both geographic and virtual spaces.

The role requires 7–10 years of sales experience, strong data interpretation abilities, and the ability to present Mercy’s mission to multiple stakeholders; a healthcare or business background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare or business administration required.
• Commensurate experience in lieu of the degree or certification acceptable.
• Master's in Health Services Administration, MBA or related advance degree preferred.
• 7–10 years sales experience with a track record of delivering results.
• Experience in analyzing and interpreting complex data for planning/decision making.
• Health system strategic planning and/or business development experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Generate measurable growth in assigned strategic geographic areas and/or service lines.
• Develop and execute business development plans to grow Mercy's geographic and virtual footprint.
• Leverage CRM/PRM tools to manage pipeline and prioritize opportunities.
• Communicate Mercy's mission, vision, and branding effectively to diverse stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with hospital and clinic leadership and other executives.
