Job summary

mercy is seeking an experienced leader to bridge Healthcare Technology Management with service providers and Mercy stakeholders. You will translate business objectives into technical requirements, oversee acquisitions, and drive cost-saving initiatives across contracts and equipment budgets.

You will collaborate with community leaders and supply chain to ensure compliant, efficient medical equipment operations, while delivering reliable service and support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience AND 5 years of relevant technical or business work experience
  • Experience overseeing project teams and/or work processes
  • Preference for biomed and information technology experience

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate process to gather/establish high level business requirements for clinical devices.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews for the applicable service providers.
  • Direct day-to-day service escalations from all third-party service providers.
  • Lead the HTM team on acquisitions and coordinate internal Mercy stakeholders.
  • Review monthly billing reports for contractual obligations and dispute charges.
  • Lead conversations on priorities, hardware/software selection, and vendor selection.
  • Assist with development of annual and 5-year capital equipment budgets with community leaders.
  • Identify and document business strategies and drivers for community leaders regarding medical equipment.
  • Lead cost savings initiatives with Supply Chain and the VMO.
  • Interface with Mercy functional areas to provide a seamless interaction.
  • Coordinate with resource managers to support hardware design, requisition, logistics, and installation.
  • Ensure stakeholders informed on service strategy and manage contracts/addendums.
  • Review environment of care reports to ensure regulatory compliance.

Serves as the primary liaison between Healthcare Technology Management, service providers and the customer in order to capture agreed-upon business objectives and processed, communicating these processed and their implications to technical and non-technical contributors to ensure the equipment accurately meets the caregivers needs.


All positions in this job family participate, to some degree, in the following activities:


  • Facilitate process to gather/establish high level business requirements for clinical devices.

  • Lead quarterly business reviews for the applicable service providers.

  • Direct day-to-day service escalations from all third-party service providers

  • Lead the HTM team on all acquisitions for Mercy- to include coordinating internal Mercy stakeholders for necessary changes.

  • Responsible for reviewing monthly billing reports per contractual obligations for applicable service providers as well as responsible for disputing charges.

  • Lead and facilitate business partners and service providers conversations regarding priorities, hardware/software selection, vendor selection

  • Assist with development of annual and 5 year capital equipment budgets with community leaders

  • Identify and document business strategies, objectives and drivers for community leaders pertaining to medical equipment

  • Lead cost savings initiatives to obtain opportunities for savings on service contracts and equipment purchases in coordination with Supply Chain and the VMO.

  • Interfaces independently with all functional and business areas of Mercy to provide the customer a seamless interaction

  • Works closely with functional resource managers to ensure adequate support of hardware design, equipment (hardware/software) requisition, logistics and installation for moves, new construction and acquisition pertaining to medical equipment

  • Ensure and coordinate appropriate stakeholders to have informed and consistent service strategy on equipment, facilitate addendums to applicable contracts or execution of new contracts.

  • Review monthly/quarterly environment of care reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, resolve any outliers or issues observed.


Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience AND 5 years of relevant technical or business work experience


Experience: Experience overseeing project teams and/or work processes
