Job summary

MFM Health seeks a detail-oriented Patient Care Representative to support the Primary Care Department. This role requires excellent verbal and written communication, strong customer service, and proficiency with computers and EMR systems.

Healthcare experience is highly desirable, with HIPAA privacy knowledge and a collaborative, team-oriented approach. Key duties include greeting patients, checking them in, updating insurance data, collecting co-pays, and guiding patients with Portal access.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (required).
• 1+ year of customer service or related administrative experience; healthcare exp preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Greet patients and visitors professionally.
• Check in patients and update demographic and insurance information.
• Collect co-pays and monitor balances.
• Answer phones and schedule appointments using EMR.
• Assist patients with Patient Portal access and portal use.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient privacy.
• Coordinate referrals, forms, and prescriptions with clinical staff.
• Schedule follow-ups and manage patient records and communications.
