Job summary

The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs Montevideo facility seeks a Food and Nutrition Services Supervisor to develop, implement, supervise, and evaluate the production, operation and meal services provided by the Food and Nutrition Services team.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, monitoring food production and sanitation, and ensuring nutritious, compliant meals for residents, while managing budgets and equipment.

Qualifications

• Two years of supervisory experience in large-scale food preparation in a nursing facility setting.
• At least one listed certification or related coursework in food service management or safety.

Responsibilities

• Supervise employees to ensure assigned duties are performed effectively.
• Oversee food production and meal delivery to ensure quality and nutrition for residents.
• Operate the department within budget, ensuring quality foods and safe equipment.
• Monitor sanitation standards per state and federal regulations.
• Develop nutritional plans of care for residents to meet dietary needs.
