Eskenazi Health seeks a Financial Counselor to assist patients with verifying and securing eligibility for payer programs, including government and hospital programs. Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of eligibility policy rules for CMS, FSSA, and state/federal programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Screen customers for payer programs and benefits.
• Assist walk-in customers while maintaining confidentiality.
• Explain payer options (Healthy Indiana Plan, Medicaid, Marketplace, COBRA, charity programs).
• Submit documentation and applications in designated systems.
• Update applications and eligibility determinations in EMR/on-system records.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Contact patients to secure required documentation and follow up.
• Mentor peers and meet productivity/quality requirements.
