Job summary

ABRiO Family of Companies seeks a skilled Controller to lead our financial operations and guide the accounting team from our Phoenix, AZ base. The role enforces GAAP, strengthens internal controls, and collaborates with a remote, part-time CPA/CFO for strategic mentorship.

You will supervise four staff, oversee AP/AR, payroll, and month- and year-end closes, while supporting budgeting and variance analyses. The position emphasizes healthcare industry compliance and robust financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline is required.
• Minimum of 5–8 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, with at least 2 years in supervision.
• Prior experience in home health care, group homes, or Medicaid/Medicare-reimbursed healthcare is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and oversee the day-to-day operations of the internal accounting staff.
• Maintain and improve accounting policies, internal controls, and procedures.
• Manage accounting functions of related entities with standardized policies.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing for the network.
• Prepare month-end and year-end close; ensure timely, accurate financial statements.
• Collaborate on budget, rolling forecasts, and variance analyses with the CFO.
