Job summary

Axiom Care, a Phoenix-based behavioral health organization, is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring GAAP compliance and timely financial statements. You will oversee close processes, internal controls, and cash management while partnering with the CFO on budgeting and strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting required.
• 2–5 years as Controller with 3+ staff management.
• Experience in behavioral health is a plus.
• Strong communication and executive presentation skills.
• Experience with QuickBooks and MS Office beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Lead accounts payable, payroll, cash management, and month-/year-end closes.
• Prepare reporting packages and visuals for leadership and lenders.
• Maintain internal controls and regulatory compliance, including audits.
• Directly supervise accounting staff and drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
