Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Field Service Engineer for hardware maintenance in New Bern, NC. The role focuses on preventive maintenance of Varian medical systems and imaging equipment, with responsibilities to manage a field service schedule and ensure customer sites meet performance standards.

The position requires strong technical knowledge, teamwork with our field teams, and adherence to credentialing and safety guidelines; travel to multiple local sites is expected in a field-based,

Qualifications

• HS degree or equivalent preferred; vocational training or military electronics experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of electronic, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing systems with basic test equipment.
• Ability to read and apply technical documentation and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on Linear Accelerators and imaging equipment.
• Maintain daily/weekly schedule and manage field service tasks within the region.
• Communicate follow-up actions to the assigned representative.
• Submit field service work orders and documentation per guidelines.
• Escalate issues when necessary to senior staff.
