Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Field Service Representative to support Varian Medical Systems equipment across local customer sites from a Fairfax, VA area base. This field-based role requires travel to customer locations, performing troubleshooting, installation, upgrades, preventative maintenance, and calibration per VMS guidelines.

You will communicate effectively with customers and internal teams, manage service schedules, document service activities, and maintain strong relationships

Qualifications

• Frequent use of technical documentation, standards, concepts in field.
• Proficient with electronic and electro‑mechanical engineering and calibration equipment.
• Experience with micro-computers/PC-based systems and basic software troubleshooting.
• Must meet Vendor Credentialing requirements for client site access.
• Valid driver’s license and driving eligibility in resident state.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair designated VMS equipment within an assigned service territory.
• Manage time and schedule to include maintenance, installations, and upgrades; prioritize requests.
• Escalate incidents when necessary and/or request assistance from senior staff.
• Examine and resolve complex issues; meet FSR performance levels.
• Maintain territory management and submit field service/expense reports; manage documentation.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships using clear communication.
