Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health, located in Bowie, MD, is seeking a Facility Operations Manager to oversee hospital infrastructure during a major expansion. The role focuses on vendor management, regulatory compliance, and preventive maintenance within a growing veterinary healthcare environment.

Responsibilities include leading maintenance teams, coordinating capital projects, and ensuring safety standards while supporting peak hospital operations.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in facilities operations, including HVAC systems, construction oversight, and maintenance management.
• Experience in a hospital or healthcare facility strongly preferred.
• CFM certification preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish/English).
• Experience using CMMS platforms to manage and track tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate facility operations with vendor management and scheduling to minimize daily disruption.
• Maintain clear communication with staff and departments to coordinate facilities services.
• Provide training, mentorship and feedback to staff as required.
• Oversee cleanliness, sanitation, and infection control standards throughout the hospital.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership to promptly resolve service issues.
• Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules for all building systems and equipment.
• Participate with Real Estate and National Facilities teams on renovations and maintenance projects.
• Develop and monitor the facilities department budget and track expenditures.
• Promote safety and regulatory compliance across operations; lead safety inspections and audits.
• Direct and coordinate emergency readiness and incident response across hospital operations.
