Job summary

Community Animal Hospital in Easton, MD is seeking a Practice Manager to lead daily hospital operations, financial performance, and team engagement. You will drive exceptional patient care, client service, and a positive culture aligned with VetEvolve’s values.

Responsibilities include overseeing revenue, payroll, inventory, scheduling, and compliance, with mentorship for new graduates in exotic medicine and surgery, and collaboration with the Regional Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3–5 years of leadership experience in a veterinary environment.
• Experience with P&L management, budgeting, KPI tracking.
• CVPM designation preferred or willingness to pursue.

Responsibilities

• Own hospital-level results across revenue, labor, client satisfaction, and operations.
• Manage all aspects of hospital operations to deliver care and service.
• Oversee payroll hours and attendance, time submission for processing.
• Monitor payroll costs and compare to budget for efficiency.
• Coordinate accounts payable activities with the bookkeeper.
• Lead inventory management and vendor communications.
• Develop staff and doctor schedules to balance flow and workload.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and evaluate team members.
• Foster a positive culture and service excellence.
