• Familiarity with Life Safety Codes and infection control procedures.
• Successful completion of pre-employment requirements: background check, drug testing, health screening.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test emergency lighting and exit signs to ensure functionality.
• Perform monthly fire extinguisher checks and maintain documentation.
• Support fire, disaster, and evacuation drills with other departments.
• Monitor safety signage and hazard reporting systems; ensure storage areas comply with codes.
• Conduct regular site walk-throughs to identify and correct safety hazards.
• Address minor repair needs (door hardware, fixtures) and basic HVAC, plumbing issues.
• Assist with wall patching, sanding, and painting in patient care and admin areas.
• Coordinate with vendors for specialized services; respond to maintenance requests.
