Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our healthcare team in Fort Worth, TX. You will perform skilled maintenance, plumbing, carpentry and HVAC tasks, install and repair equipment, and maintain building and grounds as assigned.

You will use carpentry, plumbing, HVAC knowledge and tools to ensure hospital operations run smoothly and safely; a team-focused, collaborative environment is emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a painter or general mechanic.
• Valid active driving license with clean record as per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and perform preventive maintenance on hospital equipment per manuals and specs.
• Maintain and repair air handlers, exhaust fans, supply fans, patient beds, generator and related equipment.
• Inspect, install, repair and replace pipes, fittings and fixtures for heating, water, gas and drainage systems.
• Construct, repair and maintain furniture, partitions, cabinets, doors/windows and carpentry tasks.
• Measure, cut and install floor tiles, countertops and ceiling tiles as needed.
• Prepare surfaces and apply paint, varnish, stains or enamels to interior/exterior surfaces.
• Perform grounds work and sprinkler system maintenance as required.
• Keep preventive maintenance records up to date.
