Job summary

Medical City Healthcare is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our healthcare team in Fort Worth. You will perform skilled maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC tasks, installing and repairing equipment and maintaining building and grounds.

You will work with a team that values collaboration and safety, using knowledge of building codes and a range of tools to keep hospital facilities in top condition. A valid driver's license and at least 2 years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years experience as painter or general mechanic.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable points as per policy.
• Commercial environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and perform preventive maintenance on equipment using hand and power tools.
• Maintain air handling equipment, fans, beds, generators and other hospital systems.
• Inspect and repair plumbing, pipes and fixtures for heating, water and drainage systems.
• Perform carpentry duties on furniture, partitions, doors and fixtures as needed.
• Measure, cut and install floor tiles, countertops and ceiling tiles.
• Prepare surfaces and apply finishes to protect interior and exterior areas.
• Conduct grounds work and sprinkler system maintenance; keep records up to date.
