Job summary

Mirasol Family Health Center in Hermiston, OR is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our healthcare team. You will perform HVAC maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general facilities tasks across our site, ensuring safety and accessibility for patients and staff.

You will coordinate with vendors, manage security and access systems, and contribute to site safety inspections while providing reliable on-site maintenance support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• One year of maintenance experience
• First Aid certification within 90 days of hire
• Valid Driver's License and automobile liability insurance
• Forklift operator's license required if working in Procurement
• Must pass pre-employment physical and participate in on-call schedule
• Good verbal and listening communication skills
• Ability to work independently on multiple tasks
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, and Excel

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC troubleshooting and maintenance on HVAC systems (filters, belts, pulleys, etc.)
• Perform general maintenance including carpentry, plumbing, light electrical, and light masonry in compliance with safety standards
• Maintain grounds and perform snow/ice removal as needed
• Dispose of medical waste per regulations
• Assist in construction projects and coordinate access for contractors
• Manage building security and access systems
• Coordinate vendor-provided maintenance services for HVAC, security, electrical, fire alarm, roofing, and medical gas systems
• Maintain and document safety inspections and complete safety tasks
• Ensure cleaning and maintenance of assigned buildings and areas
• Perform daily janitorial duties and respond to immediate needs
