Job summary

Cascadia Healthcare is seeking a Facility Maintenance Worker to perform routine maintenance and upkeep of the building and grounds. Under supervision, you will monitor renovations by contractors and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and safety equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and about one year of maintenance experience; six months in long-term care is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of building maintenance experience.
• Six months of long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance and repairs to keep building and equipment in good working order.
• Monitors renovations, remodeling or replacements by contractors.
• Maintains HVAC, refrigerators, boilers, washers and dryers, and other equipment.
• Manages painting, carpentry, concrete and masonry projects; requests contractor assistance for large jobs.
• Inspects fire control equipment and sprinkler systems.
• Makes weekly logs for hot water, generator, and fire alarm testing for safety compliance.
• Coordinates and documents monthly fire drills.
• Inspects building and grounds and reports maintenance needs.
• Cuts grass, trims shrubs, and maintains grounds.
• Ensures punctuality and regular attendance for shifts.
