Responsibilities

• Maintain essential mechanical, electrical and patient care equipment in safe operating condition.
• Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions with technical knowledge and analytic ability.
• Apply building and safety codes to facilities and maintenance procedures to meet quality standards.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance throughout the plant and for all equipment.
• Maintain and test the emergency power system to ensure power availability for entrances, exits, and life support systems.
• Maintain essential equipment such as boiler room gear, nursing unit refrigerators, kitchen coolers, and laundry equipment.
• Test facility hot water system to monitor temperatures in key locations.
• Inspect and test call system to ensure functioning communication from rooms and facilities.
