Job summary

Interlochen-Health-and-Rehabilitation-Cente is seeking a dependable Maintenance Assistant to keep our facility safe and comfortable for residents. You will perform routine tasks, support with repairs, and help maintain equipment and the physical plant.

The ideal candidate has experience with HVAC, boilers, water systems, washers/dryers, and emergency generators, plus a safety-focused, detail-oriented mindset and good teamwork. This is a full-time, on-site role with strong operational support.

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC, boilers, water systems, and generators.
• Understanding preventive maintenance basics.
• Clear communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks throughout the facility as assigned.
• Assist with minor repairs and upkeep of facility equipment and tools.
• Maintain the physical plant, grounds, and equipment in safe, working order.
• Support the Maintenance Supervisor in daily operations and preventative maintenance.
• Ensure a clean, hazard-free environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Report and respond to maintenance issues in a timely and effective manner.
