Job summary

Pioneer Health Care Management-Detroit is seeking a maintenance technician to help ensure a safe, comfortable environment for residents by performing a broad range of upkeep tasks across the grounds and the physical plant. The role requires reliability and attention to detail in a live-care setting.

You will carry out painting, basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, window and wall repairs, and routine checks of heating, cooling, and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility or Long Term Care preferred.
• Understanding of facility repairs and grounds maintenance.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance of the property including grounds and physical plant.
• Painting, basic plumbing, carpentry and electrical fixture repairs.
• Window and wall repairs, call system repairs, and light bulb replacement.
• Heating/cooling checks and general wiring repair; document maintenance requests; coordinate with supervisor for external assistance.
