Job summary

UMMC Greenwood-Facilities Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform skilled maintenance, repair, installation and preventive work on facility systems. The role requires hands-on experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and utilities in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with 1 year of maintenance or construction experience, or completion of HVAC/Refrigeration, Plumbing, or Electrical vocational program.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and preventive maintenance on facility systems.
• Supports HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, mechanical, and utility systems.
• Diagnoses equipment failures and performs corrective repairs to minimize operational disruptions.
• Maintains accurate work order documentation and maintenance records using CMMS.
• Coordinates with contractors, vendors, clinical departments, and facility personnel to support operational needs.
• Ensures tools, equipment, and work areas are maintained in a safe, clean, and organized condition.
