Job summary

UVM Health - Porter Medical Center is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems across the campus. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and building components to keep patient areas safe and operational.

This full-time role requires five years’ maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Five years of maintenance, facilities, or skilled trade experience.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related trades.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to document activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, carpentry, and building systems.
• Complete specialized repairs within your technical scope.
• Support hospital grounds and site infrastructure maintenance.
• Document maintenance activities in the CMMS/HEMS/work order system.
