Job summary
University of Mississippi Medical Center is seeking a Maintenance Technician for UMMC Greenwood - Facilities. The role performs skilled maintenance, repair, installation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on commercial, industrial, and healthcare facility systems.
A High School Diploma or GED with at least one year of related experience is required, or completion of HVAC/Refrigeration, Plumbing, or Electrical vocational program.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED plus 1 year maintenance experience, or completion of HVAC/Refrigeration, Plumbing, or Electrical vocational/technical program above high school level.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Vocational or technical certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and preventive maintenance on facility systems and equipment.
- Supports operation and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, mechanical, and utility systems.
- Diagnoses equipment failures and performs corrective repairs to minimize disruptions.
- Conducts preventive maintenance inspections and completes scheduled maintenance.
- Assists in facility projects, renovations, and equipment installations.
- Maintains work order documentation in CMMS and supports emergency response activities.
