Job summary

Jackson Creek Post Acute in is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Assistant to care for the facility and grounds, ensuring safe, efficient operation of equipment and systems in accordance with applicable standards.

You will follow maintenance schedules, perform routine repairs, coordinate with nursing staff, report safety incidents, and help keep resident areas comfortable and compliant.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a 10th grade education.
• Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism.
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
• Ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Follow maintenance schedules for respective shift or area.
• Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living areas.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed.
• Replace burned out light bulbs and perform cleaning duties as necessary.
• Service heating and cooling units/systems, as specified by the manufacturer and in compliance with policies.
