Job summary

Jacksonville Nursing & Rehab Center is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support our facility's operations. You will help maintain equipment and systems, perform preventive tasks, diagnose mechanical issues, and assist with installing new equipment while coordinating with contractors and vendors.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
• Experience with facilities maintenance and repair; including minor drywall repair, light plumbing, light electrical, painting, hand tool operation.
• Familiarity with logic controllers and electrical systems.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Leadership skills to supervise contractors and vendors during maintenance projects.
• Own a personal vehicle to enable responding to emergency call ins if needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance and repair of facility equipment and systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
