Job summary

Beachwood Post Acute & Rehab is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support daily maintenance tasks across the facility. You will follow scheduled maintenance, report incidents, assist with routine repairs, and keep grounds and equipment in good condition.

Responsibilities include basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry tasks, replacing bulbs, ensuring safety, and coordinating with nursing staff on resident areas.

Qualifications

• Must be able to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, staff, and visitors.
• Strong attention to care of supplies, equipment and maintenance areas.
• Willingness to learn and apply new maintenance methods.

Responsibilities

• Follow maintenance schedules for assigned areas.
• Report accidents/incidents to your supervisor on the shift they occur.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical).
• Replace burned-out light bulbs and clean fixtures as directed.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and assist in safety procedures.
