Job summary

Garden Park Care Center in Cincinnati, OH seeks a dependable Maintenance Technician to keep a safe, comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff. You will perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and life-safety inspections while coordinating with vendors and emergency responses.

The role requires experience in building maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

Previous maintenance experience required.
Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or facility maintenance strongly preferred.
Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
Valid driver's license preferred.
Healthcare, skilled nursing, or long-term care experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform routine repairs and maintenance throughout the facility.
Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
Complete preventive maintenance assignments and maintain accurate records.
Conduct life safety inspections including fire extinguishers, exit signs, and emergency lighting.
Perform weekly generator inspections and assist with testing activities.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations.
Maintain facility grounds, sidewalks, and common areas.
Work with outside vendors and contractors during inspections and repairs.
Support emergency preparedness activities and regulatory compliance efforts.
