Job summary

Shoreline Post Acute is seeking a detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to keep patient rooms, common areas, and equipment clean and functional. You will plan and perform maintenance tasks, conduct inspections, manage supplies, and maintain records in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

The role requires lifting, standing for long periods, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. A supportive team environment and training are provided.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety data sheets and manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Basic math skills for all units of measure.
• Experience operating environmental services equipment like vacuums and floor cleaners.

Responsibilities

• Help to plan, organize, and assist in all maintenance operations, including cleaning, repairing, and maintaining equipment and facilities.
• Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify and address any maintenance issues.
• Assist with projects and tasks as needed to help keep the facility running smoothly.
• Develop and maintain a cleaning schedule and ensure that all areas of the facility are cleaned regularly.
• Perform general maintenance tasks, such as painting, fixing leaky faucets, and unclogging drains.
• Assist with receiving and stocking supplies and inventory.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory levels.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and standards.]
