Job summary

Pacific Hills Post Acute is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help keep our Morgan Hill facility safe and well maintained. The role supports the maintenance department in handling routine repairs for patient rooms, fixtures, and common areas.

The position emphasizes prompt responses, teamwork, and a willingness to learn while adhering to safety standards. Training is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience in nursing home or hospital preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks throughout the day (standing, climbing, lifting).
• Recognize repair needs and act to fix them.
• Basic reporting and organizational skills.
• Calm and professional in all work situations.
• Willingness to serve others and learn.

Responsibilities

• Manage routine maintenance needs of the facility and its patients/residents.
• Repair appliances, light fixtures, doors, beds, etc., responding to requests via maintenance logs.
• Assist with move in/outs and room preparations for patients/residents.
• Ensure <24-hour response time for daily maintenance requests.
