Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation in Montgomery, AL is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support facility reliability and patient safety. You will perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and updates across the hospital’s mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and building systems.

The role requires ability to lift 50 pounds, work varying shifts, and operate safely around clinical environments; prior healthcare maintenance experience is a plus, with opportunities for growth in a nationally

Qualifications

• Experience in preventative maintenance and equipment repair.
• Healthcare experience is a plus.
• Licensing in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Test and operate emergency power supply system and components.
• Install, maintain, repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, pneumatic, oxygen, and telephone systems.
• Work independently within the specified time frame as assigned per task under supervision.
• Maintain knowledge of facility systems and regulatory standards.
• Plan, interpret, examine, draw, and record work; report daily completion to supervisor.
• Perform all types of control maintenance, building construction and repair, and equipment overhaul.
