Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in the United States to ensure hospital systems reliability across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical infrastructure. You will perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and routine tasks to keep facilities safe and functional for patients, visitors, and staff.

Ideal candidates have experience in maintenance roles within hospital or healthcare environments, with strong knowledge of building systems and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in preventative maintenance, equipment repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and/or construction required.
• Healthcare experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely test and operate facility systems and EPSS and related components.
• Install/maintain/repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and related systems.
• Work independently within assigned tasks under supervisor direction.
• Maintain knowledge of facility systems and regulatory standards.
• Plan, document, and report daily completion to supervisor.
• Perform various building maintenance and repair tasks within required timeframes.
