Responsibilities

• Communicates and collaborates with supervisors, project managers, and construction trades to ensure quality, timely, cost-effective construction.
• Maintains care and safe use of equipment and supplies; keeps work areas clean and safe.
• Performs hands-on construction activities and uses measuring tools to verify function.
• Mentors and directs apprentices, inspecting completed work as needed.
• Documents procedures and work completed accurately and promptly.
• Performs repairs, layout, demolition, and construction of specialty systems; may handle material estimating and site prep.
• Reviews project blueprints for needs or revisions and communicates with engineers/designers.
• Ensures services comply with legal specs, codes, and organizational policies.
• Plans and coordinates workflow with other trades and acts as a resource for building systems.
