Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a facility construction specialist in Grand Rapids to help maintain safe, high-quality spaces across the system. You will support construction and refresh projects, from carpentry to flooring, under supervision and with a focus on customer satisfaction.

In this role you will collaborate with supervisors, project managers and trades, mentor apprentices, review blueprints, and ensure compliance with codes and safety requirements while planning workflow with other trades.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of relevant experience.
• Driver's license - STATE_MI.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and collaborates with supervisors, project managers and other trades to ensure quality, timely, cost-effective construction.
• Ensures proper care and safe use of equipment and supplies and keeps work areas orderly, clean, and safe.
• Inspects apprentices' work and provides mentoring and direction as needed.
• Reviews project blueprints and coordinates with engineers/designers to identify needs and revisions.
