Job summary

Jane Pauley Community Health Center seeks a detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Technician to sustain safe, compliant, and operational facilities across Indiana. The role supports routine maintenance, minor repairs, and preventive tasks while coordinating with site leadership.

Travel between JPCHC locations is required to support facility needs, with after-hours flexibility for urgent issues. This is a mission-driven healthcare environment focused on safe, high-quality care delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic repair skills.
• Knowledge of general maintenance practices and building systems.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to travel regularly between locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and complete assigned work orders.
• Conduct minor repairs to doors, windows, walls, flooring, fixtures, and equipment.
• Assist with patching, painting, and general surface repairs.
• Install shelving, cabinets, furnishings, and fixtures using appropriate tools.
• Maintain lighting systems and ensure proper functionality.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and applicable building codes.
• Assemble, repair, and maintain facility furnishings and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of facility grounds and remove debris as needed.
• Travel between sites to support facility needs across locations.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors on-site as needed.
