Job summary

MEDRVA Healthcare is hiring a Maintenance Technician to perform on-demand, corrective, and preventative maintenance on machinery, plumbing, building, electrical equipment, and patient rooms in a healthcare facility.

The role includes rounds, updating maintenance records, room checks, and handling work requests from staff and visitors. You will install ceiling tiles, repair toilets, and replace lighting, while meeting deadlines and keeping inventories up to date.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years relevant experience in a healthcare, commercial or industrial setting.
• Mechanically inclined with effective problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned rounds on shift as required. Maintain current and accurate information by updating maintenance schedules and records.
• Maintains a room check schedule to proactively maintain a safe and comfortable room with all equipment working properly.
• Performs on-demand work requests by all staff and visitors of the ASC.
• Install ceiling tiles, paint drywall, repair toilets, and replace lighting as needed.
• Meets deadlines and provides follow up to team members regarding plans, procedures, or delays.
• Completes scheduled preventative maintenance in a timely, and professional manor.
• Uses a computer for tracking work requests, tracking time and materials, processing needs supplied and maintaining needed inventory.
