Job summary

Riverwood Healthcare Center in Aitkin, MN is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Engineer to maintain building systems and support a safe, compliant healthcare environment. You will manage boilers, HVAC, energy controls, and essential mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Qualified candidates have a Second Class B Boilers License, a valid driver’s license, and experience with building automation and maintenance software.

Qualifications

• Valid Second Class B Boilers License.
• Must have valid Driver’s License.
• Moderate computer skills and ability to operate building automation systems and maintenance or work order software.
• 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance or related trades (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC).
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal building codes and regulatory standards.
• Technical or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, or building systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain building systems to support a safe, functional, and compliant healthcare environment.
• Respond to facility needs and document work performed.
• Coordinate with Plant Operations leadership to minimize disruption to patient care.
• Repair and maintain mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems, including boilers and HVAC.
• Ensure regulatory compliance per AHJ and applicable codes.
• Work after-hours, weekends, and on-call as required.
