Job summary

MultiCare is seeking a Manager, Facility Operations to provide strategic leadership for Building & Engineering Services and Plant Operations. You will oversee maintenance, utility systems, and capital projects, ensuring safe, reliable facility operations and regulatory compliance across Tacoma-area hospitals.

You will lead skilled trades and a team, manage budgets, and work with clinical leaders on renovations and space planning to support uninterrupted patient care and operational continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience considered.
• Five years of related facilities experience.
• Three years of management or supervisory experience with budget responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and development of facility operations staff, including scheduling and performance management.
• Directs maintenance and preventive maintenance programs for safe, reliable facility systems.
• Ensures regulatory, accreditation, safety and environmental compliance with documentation readiness.
• Manages departmental operating and capital budgets and monitors expenditures.
• Oversees Building & Engineering Services, Plant Operations and Property Management to support operations.
• Leads lifecycle asset management for HVAC, electrical, plumbing and critical infrastructure.
• Partners with leaders to support renovations, space planning and uninterrupted patient care.
