Job summary

MultiCare Allenmore Hospital in Tacoma, WA, seeks a Manager, Facility Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership for facility services, oversee Building & Engineering Services and Plant Operations, and ensure safe, reliable care-supporting infrastructure.

The role leads maintenance, utilities, and asset management, collaborates with clinical leaders on renovations and space planning, and ensures compliance with Joint Commission standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in healthcare administration or related field.
• Five years of facilities experience required.
• Three years of experience with Joint Commission Environment of Care standards and compliance.
• Three years of management or supervisory experience with budget responsibility.
• Driver License/Abstract - Multiple Issuers
• CHFM certification within 3 years of hire date.
• Internal candidates may be considered even if minimums are not met.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, oversight, and development of facility operations staff.
• Direct maintenance and preventive maintenance programs for safe, reliable facility systems.
• Ensure regulatory, accreditation, safety, and environmental compliance and readiness.
• Manage departmental operating and capital budgets and monitor expenditures.
• Oversee building systems, vendor services, and facility projects to support operations.
• Lead lifecycle asset management for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and central plant infrastructure.
• Partner with clinical leaders on renovations, space planning, and uninterrupted patient care operations.
• Oversee Building & Engineering Services, Plant Operations, and Property Management.
