Job summary

Shady Grove Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks an experienced Facilities Operations Supervisor to lead the facilities maintenance team with a focus on regulatory compliance and service excellence. The role collaborates with the Facilities Operations Manager and Facilities Project Manager to oversee campus and select non-acute locations.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certifications: None required but opportunities to obtain will be provided.
• Years of relevant experience: 5–7 years preferred; healthcare environment preferred.
• Years of supervision experience: 1 year minimum preferred; healthcare environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise employees, provide direction, coaching and team development.
• Manage performance to company goals and expectations.
• Coordinate with Facilities Operations Manager and Facilities Project Manager as needed.
• Collaborate with the Facilities team and Director of Facilities to service campus and select locations.
• Assist in development of the department budget and control costs.
• Assign work orders, including preventive maintenance tasks, to team members.
• Document all work and manage completion and success metrics.
• Provide support to Security, Safety, Infection Prevention and Construction teams; assist external contractors as needed.
• Provide on-call coverage as needed; communicate maintenance issues to internal/external departments.
• Review and oversee projects performed by Facilities or outside contractors.
• Participate in training to stay current with industry standards; follow Joint Commission and CMS regulations.
