Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a facilities maintenance technician to independently perform maintenance, operation, and repair of mechanical and utility systems across BayCare’s hospitals and clinics in the Tampa Bay area.

You will conduct demand and preventive maintenance in compliance with codes and ensure facilities and equipment are properly maintained. Some travel to other BayCare facilities and varied shifts and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• 4 years experience in an acute healthcare setting is acceptable in lieu of HSD/GED.
• 5 Years as a Service Related Technician is required.
• 3 Years Hospital Maintenance is preferred.
• 1 Year High-rise Mechanical/Utilities systems experience is preferred.
• Fourth-Grade Stationary Engineer's License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance, operation, and repair of mechanical, utility, and associated systems across assigned facilities.
• Complete demand and scheduled preventive maintenance in compliance with departmental, hospital, and regulatory codes.
• Maintain facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environments and may work varied shifts and weekends.
