Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a skilled facilities maintenance technician responsible for maintaining hospital building systems and equipment in Florida. You will perform rounds, respond to work orders, and mentor staff on complex maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities include repairing mechanical equipment, reading blueprints, and maintaining preventive maintenance records while supporting emergency response and coordinating with other departments.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics and work orders.
• Ability to follow safety policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Repair mechanical equipment and systems (motors, pumps, plumbing, HVAC components).
• Read and follow blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
• Maintain logs and preventive/corrective maintenance records.
• Assist with emergencies per activation plans and coordinate with other departments.
• Perform general maintenance (carpentry, painting, doors/windows) and safety checks.
