Job summary

Elkton Nursing seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform routine care and maintenance of the facility, ensuring repairs, preventative maintenance, and adherence to policies. In the absence of the Director of Maintenance, duties may be performed as needed.

The role requires completing mandatory training, maintaining documentation, and working collaboratively with the Environmental Services team to keep the center survey-ready.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year maintenance experience in a commercial setting; healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Flexibility to work hours and to report to work within twenty (20) minutes for urgent situations.
• Basic computer skills including email, electronic order entry, building engines, etc.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair building systems as directed by maintenance director.
• Complete work orders and preventive maintenance on time.
• Ensure safety and health protocols are followed.
• Assist in life safety and fire drills as needed.
• Keep records in the electronic maintenance system.
