Qualifications

• 3+ years in facility maintenance with 6 months in a supervisory role required
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and general building maintenance
• Leadership abilities to motivate, train, and supervise maintenance personnel
• Excellent problem-solving and multi-project prioritization in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of regulatory safety standards for facility maintenance and environment health
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with staff, residents, families, and vendors

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff activities (technicians, groundskeepers, housekeeping)
• Recruit, hire, train and manage qualified team members
• Educate employees on job expectations and company policies and regulations
• Train and mentor maintenance staff and provide performance feedback
• Assign tasks and ensure quality work and proper coverage for shifts
• Manage schedules, time off, and vacations; maintain professionalism
• Plan maintenance projections, repairs, and preventive tasks for efficient operations
• Conduct regular inspections of facility, equipment, and grounds for needs and safety hazards
• Oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, structures, and infrastructure
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance and installations
• Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance program and scheduling
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to maintenance and safety
• Manage inventory and supplies; track expenditures and records
• Respond to maintenance emergencies promptly and troubleshoot to minimize disruption
• Collaborate with nursing, administration, and dietary to address maintenance needs
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas; adhere to infection control standards
• Maintain MSDS documents and address complaints about maintenance services
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
