Job summary

Responsibilities

• Comply with the Community’s personnel, safety, and corporate policies.
• Report witnessed or reported allegations of resident abuse/neglect immediately to the Administrator or Director of Nursing. Treat residents, family members, visitors, and team members with respect and dignity.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all resident and family information.
• Report to work on time and as scheduled.
• Grounds maintenance and safety: sidewalks/drives clear of hazards; repair of structures.
• Maintain building, including painting, tiles, furniture, locks, baseboards, trim, windows.
• Maintain electrical and plumbing systems in good order.
• Organize fire drills and ensure safety equipment is functional.
• Maintain community equipment (washers, dryers, boilers, AC, furnaces, lawn mowers).
• Ensure 24-hour availability for maintenance emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with State/Federal regulations including bloodborne pathogens, infection control, hazardous materials, fire safety, building/electric/plumbing codes.
• Ensure Residents’ Rights compliance.
• Staffing the maintenance department: hiring/orientation/discipline; budget accounting.
