Job summary

KC CARE Health Center is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee all aspects of our facilities, ensuring a clean, high-functioning, and safe environment for patients, staff, and volunteers. The role requires hands-on leadership of maintenance teams and coordination with vendors to deliver reliable services.

The position leads daily operations, ensures compliance with federal regulations, and drives safety, efficiency, and quality across the Health Center’s infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience in facilities management, construction, or contractor experience.
• Five years experience in facilities operations management.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations of all Health Center facilities, grounds, and building systems.
• Ensures facilities are clean, safe, secure, and fully operational.
• Supervises Maintenance Technicians and assigns work, tasks, and oversight functions as necessary.
• Manages relationships with vendors who contribute to facilities operations, including security, cleaning, and towing.
• Monitors contractor performance and ensures compliance with contractual obligations.
• Coordinates facilities renovations, equipment installations, relocations, and construction projects.
• Monitors and triages daily work orders and ensures they respond promptly and with excellent customer service.
• Serves as project manager for facilities projects and ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Performs construction work as needed for the Health Center.
• Oversees preventative maintenance programs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, security systems, elevators, generators, and other building infrastructure.
• Works to ensure the Health Center is in compliance with federal regulations.
• Assists with compliance related to OSHA, life safety, environmental health, infection prevention, emergency preparedness, and facility-related regulatory requirements.
• Ensures required permits, inspections, and certifications remain current.
