Job summary

Providence Park Rehabilitation & HealthCare Center in Mobile, AL is seeking a Plant Manager to lead the maintenance operations. The role requires planning, organizing and directing the maintenance department to keep the facility safe, comfortable and compliant with codes.

You will coordinate with other departments, oversee preventive maintenance, and supervise carpentry, grounds-keeping, painting, equipment and HVAC systems, ensuring contracts with outside services are properly managed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school graduate or GED; able to read/write and follow directions.
• Prior supervisory experience is required.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and blueprint interpretation.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators and mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems.
• May be required to drive for company business.
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Positive attitude toward the elderly; healthcare experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and direct the maintenance department's overall operations.
• Coordinate maintenance services with other departments and supervise outside contractors.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining a preventive maintenance program and ensure fire/safety compliance.
• Maintain the facility including carpentry, grounds-keeping, painting, equipment and HVAC systems.
