Job summary

Webster County Community Hospital is seeking a Plant Operations/Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance of buildings, grounds, vehicles, and equipment, ensuring a safe, orderly environment for patients and staff. You will lead routine and preventive work, manage budgets, and coordinate with senior leadership on major repairs and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade school training or equivalent years of experience.
• Prev. healthcare or related field experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, boiler operation, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance.
• Experience in managing budgets and coordinating maintenance schedules.
• Valid Nebraska driver’s license; journeyman license or apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains building, grounds, and equipment for all facilities.
• Establishes a preventative maintenance program and maintains records.
• Plans, develops, implements, and controls the annual budget for maintenance.
• Attends meetings with management, QA, Safety, and other teams.
• Performs maintenance and repair within scope of knowledge in a timely manner.
• Communicates with CEO on major repairs and service needs.
• Develops policies and procedures for the Maintenance department.
• Monitors and tests HVAC systems, boilers, and safety equipment.
