Job summary

The Homestead at Montrose, part of Volunteers of America National Services, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Montrose, CO. This role offers a structured, purpose-driven work environment in a healthcare setting with a clear path for growth.

Responsibilities include overseeing maintenance operations, coordinating staff, and ensuring safety and compliance; typical schedule is Monday–Friday, with on-call rotations. Compensation ranges based on experience and is paid annually.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of trade or vocational school, with courses in blueprint reading, mechanical drawing, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC equipment, refrigeration and electricity preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years full-time experience in construction or maintenance of equipment, utilities and buildings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibilities for overall maintenance of facility.
• Responsible for preventative maintenance, painting and repairs inside and outside the facility to provide a safe, attractive and orderly environment for the benefit, use, enjoyment protection of residents, staff and visitors.
• Develops and reviews Maintenance policies and procedures on an annual basis.
• Assumes responsibility for hiring, training, counseling and/or termination of all maintenance personnel as necessary.
• Assigns, schedules, supervises and evaluates maintenance personnel.
• Repairs and paints the building exterior as needed.
• May be on-call for emergencies twenty-four (24) hours-a-day.
• Schedules and expedites work order requests.
