Job summary

Volunteers of America Colorado is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to maintain facilities and grounds, supervise maintenance staff, and ensure safety and compliance across properties. The role requires coordinating with vendors, performing inspections, and keeping detailed maintenance records.

The position supports safety, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs, including after-hours coverage and adherence to VOA policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-year experience in building maintenance or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse backgrounds.
• Valid Colorado Driver License, insurance verification and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance and janitorial staff as needed.
• Monitor contracts with third-party vendors for work orders, pricing, and procurement.
• Coordinate vendors, schedule make-readies, manage work orders, and ensure quality within set standards.
• Conduct pre-inspections for REAC and safety inspections; enforce OSHA/EPA and state codes.
• Train maintenance staff and supervise housing maintenance personnel.
